Berlin-based New Yorker Saudia Young has many talents. In addition to her work as an actress, voice actress, and writer, her greatest passion is music - because the "Noir Rockabilly Blues" singer is a passionate storyteller at heart. She expresses herself in film, theater, and music projects. After leading a "dark cabaret band" for a long time, Young founded her "noir rockabilly blues" project: Bo Diddley Rhythm & Blues, with a pinch of punk and dark cabaret.
She has worked with the English Theater International, starred in The Winter Garden in 'Let's Twist Again'’ a rockabilly variety show, and recorded two vinyl records. Young has just been nominated in the Rockabilly Singer-Female category for the 2023 Ameripolitan Music Awards on November 17-19. February 2023 in Memphis, Tenn. Even though there isn't actually a permanent band line-up, Saudia likes to play with some of the best musicians in their genre in Germany, including singer, guitarist & composer Lars Vegas and James Sunburst, double bass player for the Rockhouse Brothers.
