Berlin July 15th, 2018, singer/songwriter Saudia Young's debut 'Unlovable' LP is set for vinyl & digital release.

‘Unlovable,’ Saudia Young’s vinyl LP debut, is a beautiful, moody, rocking tribute to the roots of rock & roll, Black American blues women and men, and the art of storytelling itself. The record is a curated combo of covers and original songs co-written by Young with various composers, including the title song 'Unlovable' -written with guitarist Thilo Hornschild. The 1950s-influenced ballad, with Young’s Scotch & Soda vocals accompanied by Hornschild's confidently sexy swing, is a hit with audiences straight out of the gate. Violence is a bouncy, dark cabaret ditty regaling examples of the world’s addiction. Blind combines haunting despair in Young’s vocals and lyrics with Morton's dystopian guitar licks. Both songs were co-written by the German guitar legend. ‘Chicks go Crazy’ is a straight-up Rockabilly standard bemoaning the mean girl code, co-written with Upright Bassist Puck Lensing-DE, and Let's Pretend, a
lovely standard co-written with jazz guitarist Florian von Frieling-DE. The covers on the album of ten songs include Iggy Pop's 'No Fun' and 'Got My Mojo Working' written by Muddy Waters.

The album was recorded live at the legendary Lightning Recorders in Berlin with 10 Berlin-based musicians. Young is the bi-racial daughter of actor Otis Young & designer Cara Croninger, originally from New York. The album brilliantly intertwines Rhythm & Blues, Rockabilly, Cabaret, and Punk is what makes the Americana sound work. Saudia Young is a dark, smoky, smart reckoned with.

The 'Unlovable' vinyl release is July 15th, and the tour begins with the Rust & Dust Festival on July 20th and a record release show at Wild at Heart Berlin on Saturday, July 21st.
